         Metroplex BMX Track Championship

                                   and
                  Rider of the Month Awards.

 

1. To be eligible a rider must be a Metroplex BMX VIP Member.

 

1.A. To become a VIP Member a Rider must purchase or renew his

       or her membership at Metroplex BMX.  All memberships must

       be credited to Metroplex BMX.

 

1.B. Any rider who purchased their Membership at Metroplex BMX

        in 2008 is already a VIP Member.

 

1.C. Failure to renew your membership at Metroplex BMX will result

        in the loss of  your VIP status.

        

1.D. Once a non VIP member renews their membership at Metroplex

        BMX they will be credited for all points earned that year and be

        eligible for any remaining awards they earn.

      

2.     Riders will earn track points each time he or she races a local single

point race at Metroplex BMX.

 

        Track Points

  

1^st  -  20          6^th  -  10

2^nd  - 18          7^th -    8

3^rd -  16          8^th -    6

4^th  - 14           DNQ -     4

5^th  - 12   
       

Plus one point for each rider in your class       

 

2.A. Once a month we will have a double track points race.

        (Single ABA points) The date of this race will be listed on the

        Website calendar.

 

2.B. Riders can earn up to 100 bonus points each month by recruiting

       new members.

       Recruit up to 3 new full members a month and receive bonus points.

 

      

       1^st new member  -  20 points

       2^nd new member -  30 points

       3^rd new member -  50 points 

 

       Materials to help recruit new members are available at the track.

 

       Should a rider recruit more than 3 new members in a month the    

       extras will be carried over to the next month’s bonus total.

 

 2.C. In addition riders will receive a free race for every new member

         they recruit.

    

3.     Points will be tabulated each month starting on the first day of each

month and ending on the last day of each month, the rider with the most points at the end of each month will be the Rider of the Month. A rider can earn Rider of the Month once in a calendar year. So there will be 12 different Rider of the Month each year. Once a rider earns rider of the month all points earned for the rest of the year will be added to the year end total, and will not be added toward rider of the month for the remainder of the year.

Rider of the Month will receive a Metroplex BMX Rider of the Month

Backpack, a custom Rider of the Month number plate and be featured

          on the Metroplex BMX website and Newsletter.

4.     All track points will be added to a year end total for Track Champion.

     This will run from May 1^st till December 31^st 2009.

     

     4.A. The rider with the most points will be the Metroplex BMX

             Track Champion. The Track Champion will receive a custom

             Metroplex BMX Track Champion Jacket and number plate.

 

     4.b. Riders finishing in 2^nd – 10^th place will receive a custom

       Metroplex BMX Track Top 10 Jacket and number plate.

 

4.C. Track Champion Awards will be presented at the Metroplex BMX

        Annual Awards Banquet, usually held around the end of     

        February every year.                                                   

                 All Novice, Intermediate, Expert, Cruiser, Girl and Girl Cruiser 

                 will be scored as one group using the chart in article 2.
